[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The centrist-conservative unified new party is on the verge of launching. On the 14th, the Liberty Korea Party, the New Conservative Party, and the Advance for Future 4.0 (Advance Party) held a joint meeting of the entrusted committee to continue the final discussions for the launch of the unified new party, 'Future United Party.'

From the Korea Party, Floor Leader Shim Jae-cheol and lawmakers Song Eon-seok and Kim Sang-hoon attended; from the New Conservative Party, co-leaders Oh Shin-hwan and Ji Sang-wook, and lawmaker Jung Byung-guk; and from the Advance Party, Supreme Council members Lee Jong-hyuk, Yang Ju-sang, and Lee A-ram participated.

Floor Leader Shim said, "We have overcome big and small differences and finally unified to prevent the collapse of the Republic of Korea and to stop left-wing dictatorship," adding, "To judge the Moon administration's tyranny, we must heed the people's will for centrist-right unification and make a fresh start to hold the Moon administration accountable."

He continued, "Raising the sail of the unified new party, Future United Party, is to correct all the chaos in this country, including economic decline, livelihood collapse, and security instability," he said. "There may be shortcomings, but we will humbly accept the public's criticism and advice and will be determined. We will do everything to be reborn and gain the trust of the people."

Lawmaker Jung said, "Since last Chuseok, like-minded people gathered and discussed, and this is the final destination. We have truly walked a difficult path of unification," expressing, "Many citizens and the media doubted whether unification would happen, but ultimately, the centrist-conservative forces, commanded by our people, have become one today."

Meanwhile, ahead of the joint meeting of the entrusted committee that day, civic groups protested against the leadership and the composition of the public relations committee and expressed their intention to resign. Regarding this, Lawmaker Jung said, "The power of the civic groups that led many citizens in Gwanghwamun was also significant," adding, "We will stand with them until the end."

Lawmaker Lee said, "The Advance Party was founded advocating generational change, and I believe that this spirit of the times must be upheld at the launch of the Future United Party," adding, "The historic unification of the three parties will end the left-wing dictatorship of the Moon Jae-in administration and will be the foundation for the centrist-conservative victory in the upcoming April 15 general election. We will firmly unite and bring victory in the April 15 general election."
