[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 14th that it conducted a fam tour for prospective investors in the marine healing industry in Wando from the 11th to the 12th.

A total of six people participated in this fam tour, including Jo Yang-rae, CEO of Harvard Real Estate, Kim Heung-soo, Chairman of LA Uri Broadcasting, Han Ki-hyung, CEO of KCBC Christian Broadcasting, and Moon Jo, CEO of Pureun Tour based in New York.

The county provided an explanation of the current status of the marine healing industry promotion to the executives of the LA Korean American Chamber of Commerce and Korean Americans residing in the U.S., and guided them through major tourist attractions such as Sinji Myeongsasimni and Wando Arboretum, conducting a fam tour of investment sites to facilitate practical investment.

Additionally, through the fam tour, a business agreement was signed with Pureun Tour for the development of tourism products linked to the marine healing industry and joint marketing to attract domestic and international tourists.

In particular, the business agreement includes cooperation for the promotion and attraction of tourists to the 2021 Wando International Seaweed Expo, which is expected to boost efforts to attract foreign tourists to the seaweed expo, a key project of the county alongside the marine healing industry.

Shin Woo-cheol, the governor of Wando-gun, said, “Clean Wando, which has no smokestack industries, is the optimal place for the marine healing industry, and since the law related to the marine healing industry has passed the National Assembly, the project will gain more momentum. We plan to establish a foundation so that private investments such as Marine Health Resort and Marine Health Residence can be made, so we ask for active cooperation in recruiting investors.”
