[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] 'Earth Defense Force' Park Junseok revealed that he was classified as a public service worker due to narcolepsy.
On the 13th, the MBN variety show 'Earth Defense Force' aired for the first time, showcasing stories of members with military and public service backgrounds.
Attendees included Kim Gura, former public service worker; Park Junseok and Kim Hyungjun from the group Taesaja; former basketball player Woo Jiwon; comedian Park Hwisu; and Shinwa's Junjin.
Junjin explained that although he was originally exempted, after several reexaminations he served as a public service worker, revealing the reason for his classification was "a slight fracture in the spinal bone."
Park Junseok confessed that the reason he was classified as a public service worker was due to narcolepsy.
Narcolepsy is a condition characterized by sudden daytime sleepiness and lethargy, and Park Junseok said, "I fall asleep without realizing it. It still happens now."
Junjin, who once lived with Park Junseok, shared an episode, saying, "I received a call from him and went to pick him up, but he was sleeping at a crosswalk. I thought he was joking," which surprised everyone.
Kim Hyungjun also testified, "Ordinary people put down their glass of water when they feel sleepy, but Park Junseok falls asleep while still holding his glass. It's hard to believe unless you see it."
