Disinfection of 105 Sites Including Children's Parks and Village Rest Areas to Prevent Virus Spread and Alleviate Public Anxiety

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) has been disinfecting 105 parks in the area, including children's parks and village squares, since the 11th to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Since the occurrence of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Korea, the district has formed a Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters operating 24 hours a day, making efforts to prevent virus spread and prepare countermeasures by distributing disinfectant supplies and promoting virus prevention guidelines.

Accordingly, from the 11th, the district will conduct spray disinfection on all facilities including playground equipment, exercise machines, rest areas, and restrooms at all 105 children's parks and village shelters frequently used by citizens to prevent virus spread and alleviate citizens' anxiety.

A district official stated, “To prevent further spread of COVID-19, we plan to conduct regular disinfection until this infectious disease situation is over, and we will take thorough care in facility management to ensure residents do not experience inconvenience when using the parks.”
