[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seong-yeol] Seoul Subway Line 1 is experiencing delays, causing inconvenience for commuters.

At around 2:40 a.m. on the 14th, a track maintenance equipment derailed during track repair work at Guro Station on Seoul Subway Line 1.

Due to the accident, the Gyeongin Line trains are operating only from Incheon to Yongsan, and all express trains have been suspended. Some trains from Incheon to Soyosan are operating via Noryangjin and the Gyeongwon Line towards Cheongnyangni Station.

Additionally, the Gyeongbu Line trains on the upbound track are running only from Cheonan to Yongsan, and shuttle trains between Yeongdeungpo and Gwangmyeong have been suspended.

Currently, Korail has dispatched an emergency recovery team to the site to carry out restoration work and investigate the cause of the accident. Korail stated that KTX and regular trains are operating normally.

Meanwhile, if proof of subway delay is required, a subway delay certificate can be issued on the Seoul Metro website and at subway stations.
