Director Kim, who is also the 104th member of the Gwangju Honor Society, has been continuously engaged in social contribution activities such as scholarship donations for underprivileged neighbors, medical volunteer work, and vision correction surgery support, serving as a role model for future generations.
Shinsegye Eye Clinic was the first in Jeonnam, Gwangju to introduce SMILE surgery, a vision correction surgery developed in Germany in 2013, and has performed the most surgeries in the Honam region, receiving the 'SMILE Award'.
Director Kim Jaebong said, "I heard about the digital library construction from a junior professor working at my alma mater and decided to donate the development fund," adding, "As a medical professional, I do my best for the health of local residents, but at the same time, as a local resident and alumnus, I am glad to participate in meaningful work for the community and juniors."
President Jeong Byeongseok said, "I thank Director Kim for his great support and will engrave his intention in the digital library," and added, "We will do our best to create a digital library loved by local residents and junior students."
