Samsung Electronics Supports Traditional Markets and Flower Farms Affected by COVID-19

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Samsung Electronics is stepping up support to revitalize the domestic economy, where consumer sentiment has been weakened due to COVID-19.

On the 13th, Samsung Electronics announced that it will implement measures to alleviate difficulties faced by traditional markets and flower farms affected by COVID-19.

Samsung Electronics, along with Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDI, and Samsung SDS, will participate together in this support initiative.

First, to revitalize traditional markets, Samsung will purchase Onnuri gift certificates worth 30 billion KRW. Samsung plans to distribute the purchased Onnuri gift certificates to partner companies within each business site to stimulate domestic demand.

Additionally, to support flower farms struggling due to cancellations and postponements of events such as graduation and entrance ceremonies, Samsung will join efforts to "increase flower consumption."

Samsung intends to increase the placement of flowers in offices and meeting rooms across its nationwide business sites to contribute to a softer working atmosphere and boost flower consumption.

A Samsung Electronics official stated, "We plan to continue working together to help our society overcome the difficulties caused by COVID-19."
