[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson An Jongsuk) signed an educational cooperation agreement on the 12th with the Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University to enhance council members' capabilities and improve the professionalism of legislative activities.
The signing ceremony was attended by Lim Dobin, Dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University, and Professor Kim Suneun, Chairperson of the Local Autonomy Committee.
The two institutions agreed to mutually cooperate in ▲providing educational support to strengthen council members' capabilities ▲exchanging human and material resources as well as information ▲conducting research activities for the development of the council.
Chairperson An Jongsuk stated, “In the era of local autonomy, the demand and necessity for professional legislative performance are gradually increasing. The Seocho District Council has continuously strived to enhance professionalism through education and seminars, and I consider it meaningful to sign this educational cooperation agreement with the Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University as part of these efforts.”
She added, “Going forward, I hope the two institutions will engage in close mutual exchanges for local autonomy and regional development, enabling systematic enhancement of council members' capabilities to respond more proactively to local government policies and issues. We will continue to be a Seocho District Council that works for the residents with a humble heart and a learning attitude.”
