Hanwha Financial Group Affiliate Brand 'Lifeplus' Wins iF Design Award Main Prize

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hanwha Financial Group's affiliates (life insurance, non-life insurance, investment securities, asset management, savings banks) announced on the 12th that their joint brand 'Lifeplus' won the main prize at the ‘iF Design Award 2020,’ one of the world's top three design awards. The award category was Communication Design, Corporate Identity & Branding.

Lifeplus earned the honor of winning two of the world's top three design awards by receiving the main prize at the Red Dot Design Award last July and the main prize at this year's iF Design Award.

Lifeplus was highly evaluated for interpreting the value of finance that makes customers' lives better through symbols, logotypes, exclusive fonts, key visuals, goods, and events as representations of an active life. The panel of 78 judges, composed of experts from various countries, also highly praised the consistent delivery of Lifeplus's unique value across diverse customer touchpoints.

The iF Design Award, held by the ‘iF International Forum Design’ based in Hanover since 1953, is known as one of the world's top three design awards alongside Red Dot and IDEA.

Recognized as the most prestigious design competition globally, this year saw fierce competition with 7,298 entries from 56 countries vying for awards.

Park Chan-hyuk, head of the Brand Strategy Team at Hanwha Life, stated, “Lifeplus's unique value of partnering with customers as a way to live better has been recognized through this iF Design Award win,” adding, “Beyond visualizing through logo design, we will promote various opportunities and organic activities for customers to directly experience and share the brand value.”

Meanwhile, since launching the brand in 2017, Lifeplus has provided content and services focused on customers' ‘lives,’ breaking away from the traditional financial company paradigm.
