Seo Jin-yong♥Lee Jae-young Dating, Sports Star Couple Emerges

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Professional baseball pitcher Seo Jin-yong (28) of the SK Wyverns and female volleyball player Lee Jae-young (24) of Heungkuk Life have confirmed their romantic relationship.

According to Brion Company, Seo Jin-yong's agency, the two recently developed mutual feelings and became a couple.

Earlier, entertainment media MK Sports reported that Seo Jin-yong and Lee Jae-young are dating.

In particular, the dating rumors first surfaced through SNS and online communities. Lee Jae-young posted "No.17♥22" in her Instagram bio. Number 17 is Lee Jae-young's jersey number at Heungkuk Life, and 22 is Seo Jin-yong's number as a pitcher for SK.

Seo Jin-yong also uploaded a selfie on Instagram wearing a Pink Spiders cap, the team Lee Jae-young belongs to.

Although Seo Jin-yong and Lee Jae-young are in different sports, both play for teams based in Incheon.

Lee Jae-young is a starting left hitter for the national team and a representative player of the Women's V-League. She joined Heungkuk Life as the first overall pick in the 2014-2015 Women's Pro Volleyball Rookie Draft. Since then, she has been selected twice as the regular season MVP, once as the championship MVP, and four times in the Best 7. She also contributed significantly to qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but is currently undergoing rehabilitation due to a knee injury sustained at that time.

Seo Jin-yong graduated from Gyeongnam High School and joined SK in 2011. He was also selected as a national team member for the 6th East Asian Games held in 2013. Currently, he is active as a key relief pitcher for his team.
