Preliminary candidate Lee Yong-bin said, "The Gwangju-type job model should move towards a fair economy where labor and management respect each other, and primary and subcontractors enjoy equal wages and welfare," adding, "We must create 20,000 good jobs that provide equal benefits not only to the 1,000 workers at the primary contractor but also to all workers at the second and third-tier subcontractors."
He continued, "The Gwangju-type job model is included in the Moon Jae-in administration's 100 national tasks and must succeed," adding, "I will do my best to serve as a bridge between the Blue House, the National Assembly, and local governments so that the Gwangju-type job model can become a win-win job model for other regions."
He also said, "We will attract residential, medical, and educational facilities to the Gwangsan district behind the Gwangju Global Motors complex," and "We will make our region a city good for raising children and for businesses."
