In the securities market, individuals and foreigners sold a net amount of 220.3 billion KRW and 93.3 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, institutions bought a net amount of 301.1 billion KRW.
By sector, food and beverages (1.69%), chemicals (2.53%), and machinery (1.55%) rose, while pharmaceuticals (0.05%) and telecommunications (0.33%) declined.
Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, Samsung Biologics (0.38%) was the only one to fall. Others such as Samsung Electronics (0.34%), SK Hynix (1.01%), LG Chem (6.85%), and Samsung SDI (6.69%) rose.
On the same day, the KOSDAQ also showed an increase close to 1%. The KOSDAQ closed at 682.34, up 6.27 points (0.93%) from the previous trading day.
The KOSDAQ opened at 678.97, up 2.90 points (0.43%) from the previous session, maintaining its strong trend.
In the KOSDAQ market, individuals and foreigners bought a net amount of 400 million KRW and 14.1 billion KRW, respectively, while institutions sold a net amount of 1.5 billion KRW.
By sector, telecommunications equipment (2.81%), IT components (1.24%), and paper & wood (1.79%) rose, while internet (0.03%) and information devices (0.16%) declined.
Among the top market cap companies, Celltrion Healthcare (0.16%), Studio Dragon (1.43%), Medytox (0.95%), and Hugel (1.61%) fell. On the other hand, HL Biopharma (0.47%), CJ ENM (3.03%), Pearl Abyss (1.16%), KMW (4.44%), and EcoPro BM (12.31%) rose.
