‘Hopeful Residents, Prosperous Jindo’
Setting the Direction for 2020 County Administration and Securing Momentum for Project Implementation

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jindo County, Jeollanam-do announced on the 11th that on the 10th, a progress report meeting on the fulfillment of the promises of the 7th elected administration for the realization of ‘Hopeful Citizens, Prosperous Jindo’ was held at the county office meeting room, attended by Jindo County Governor Lee Dong-jin and senior officials.
At the meeting, the progress of 12 key tasks and 87 action tasks in five major areas was reviewed, including the county’s core administrative tasks such as ▲ policies to increase jobs, youth, and population ▲ allocation of 40% of the budget to agriculture, fisheries, and marine sectors ▲ construction of coastal tourist roads ▲ urban regeneration New Deal projects ▲ improvement of residential environments in island areas ▲ establishment of local food direct sales stores ▲ support projects for shared storage and workspace for fishing equipment.
In particular, the progress check confirmed that a total of 84 tasks are proceeding normally, with 3 tasks completed.
Additionally, measures to shorten the completion period of various projects and detailed strategies and plans to secure national and provincial budgets for 2021 were also discussed.
Currently, Jindo County is categorizing and implementing its promises into five areas: ▲ Safe and Happy Jindo ▲ Prosperous Jindo ▲ Sustainable Jindo ▲ Dignified and Vibrant Jindo ▲ Beautiful and Livable Jindo.
Governor Lee Dong-jin of Jindo County stated, “We will do our best for regional development by thoroughly fulfilling the promises made to the citizens through solid implementation of various projects and leading county administration in the future.”
