Shinhan Card Launches 'Muji & Con' KakaoPay Check Card... Earn Up to 10,000 KRW Back

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 10th that it has launched the 'KakaoPay Shinhan Check Card (Muzi & Con)' featuring Kakao Friends' Muzi and Con characters on the card plate design, in collaboration with KakaoPay.

The Muzi & Con Check Card is a redesigned version of the KakaoPay Shinhan Check Card (Muzi), which was released in July last year. The Muzi Check Card was issued over 260,000 cards within six months after its launch, thanks to its clean and cute design and benefits tailored for easy payments.

The services provided remain the same. When registered and used for payment via KakaoPay, 2% of the payment amount is accumulated as KakaoPay Money up to a maximum of 10,000 KRW, regardless of the previous month's usage performance. If the card is applied for through the KakaoTalk app, it is automatically registered to KakaoPay immediately, allowing use at KakaoPay online merchants before receiving the physical card. Shinhan Card is working with KakaoPay to expand the scope of the automatic registration process.

Accumulation benefits are also provided for daily services such as transportation, telecommunications, and movies. When using public transportation (bus, subway), 3% of the usage amount is accumulated; for automatic payment of mobile phone bills over 50,000 KRW, 3% of the usage amount is accumulated; and for CGV movie use, up to 3,000 KRW per month is accumulated once. There is no separate annual fee.

Shinhan Card will give Muzi & Con stickers to all customers who issue the Muzi & Con Check Card. Additionally, together with KakaoPay, a renewal commemorative event will be held until the 29th. During the event period, customers who receive their first KakaoPay Shinhan Check Card (Muzi and Muzi & Con) will receive 5,000 KRW in KakaoPay Money when using KakaoPay easy payment, and an additional 5,000 KRW in KakaoPay Money when spending over 10,000 KRW on KakaoTalk Order.
