The third episode of JTBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Itaewon Class' recorded its highest ratings yet, with nationwide and metropolitan area ratings of 8.0% and 8.3%, respectively (based on Nielsen Korea paid households). Notably, this episode featured the first appearance of Kim Da-mi as Jo Yi-seo, an IQ 162 genius sociopath, captivating viewers with her powerful performance.

In episode 3, Jo Yi-seo filmed a violent scene involving Bok-hee, the school bully from her class, and posted it on social media, which sparked a huge reaction from netizens. Bok-hee's mother, upon learning this, visited Jo Yi-seo that evening and slapped her. However, Yi-seo, anticipating this, had Jang Geun-soo secretly film the incident and then used the footage to blackmail Bok-hee's mother.

Jo Yi-seo threatened sharply, "If Bok-hee goes to college, I'll post this video on the university bulletin board. If she gets a job, I'll send it to her workplace." She continued, "If she gets married, I'll send it to her in-laws. Who do you think is responsible for all this?" and slapped Bok-hee's mother, fully displaying her sociopathic traits.
