Lotte Department Store Main Branch Visited by 23rd Confirmed Case... Reopening on the 10th

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Department Store's main branch in Jung-gu, Seoul, temporarily closed on the 7th after it was confirmed that a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia) had visited.


Lotte Department Store announced that it received an official notification from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that the 23rd confirmed patient visited the main branch on the 2nd, and will temporarily close from 2 p.m. that day.


From 2 p.m., Lotte Department Store broadcasted announcements informing customers of the temporary closure, and after all customers left, it immediately entered temporary closure. Afterwards, the entire store will undergo disinfection work.


The main branch of Lotte Department Store is scheduled to resume operations on the 10th.


The 23rd confirmed patient is a Chinese woman who entered Korea on the 23rd of last month for tourism purposes. She shopped at the main branch of Lotte Department Store at around 12:40 p.m. on the 2nd of this month. She showed symptoms such as fever on the 3rd and was confirmed positive on the 6th, currently under isolation.
