Subscription 'at a glance' on Cheongyak Home... 'Blind' from the first day

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] The Korea Real Estate Board's new housing subscription system, 'Cheongyak Home,' experienced delays in access and query errors from the very first day of operation.

On the 3rd, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Real Estate Board launched the new subscription website 'Cheongyak Home (www.applyhome.co.kr)' to replace the existing Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute's 'Apartment To You.'

However, from the opening day, Cheongyak Home encountered various errors. Users faced delayed access due to heavy traffic, and newly provided services such as pre-management of subscription eligibility were not functioning smoothly. Although services were established to easily verify household member data, home ownership status, and subscription account history, the influx of users on the first day caused numerous error messages and even access failures.

A Korea Real Estate Board official stated, "The program operated without any issues until the day before," adding, "It appears that the problem occurred due to a sudden surge of users on the first day." He also said, "We are analyzing the causes of the errors as soon as they are detected and are working to stabilize the site."

However, Cheongyak Home's access via search functions is still not properly set up. Among major search engines, only 'Daum' currently displays a direct link when entering 'Cheongyak Home' in the search bar. Other search services do not show the site, requiring users to enter the address manually to access it.

Some have criticized that the Korea Real Estate Board's preparation for the transfer was insufficient. An industry insider pointed out, "If site operations face disruptions, applicants may fail to subscribe on time, so rapid stabilization is crucial."
