From March 2 to April 10, 'Caregiver Training Program' Operated... Providing Reemployment Opportunities for Middle-Aged Job Seekers and Quality Elderly Welfare Services... Visit Jongno Job Plus Center to Apply from March 3 to 21
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jongno-gu (Mayor Kim Young-jong) is recruiting participants for the "Caregiver Training Course," scheduled to run for six weeks in March and April.
This training is designed to provide middle-aged and older adults with reemployment opportunities through acquiring specialized knowledge in elderly care, aiming to revitalize the local economy.
Additionally, it will help meet the demand in the elderly welfare sector due to the aging population.
The recruitment target is 30 Jongno-gu residents aged 40 to 69 who intend to work as caregivers. Preference is given to those registered as job seekers with caregiver as their desired occupation at the Job Plus Center. The training cost is fully covered by the district, so it is free of charge.
Applications can be submitted in person from the 3rd to the 21st at the Jongno Job Plus Center (43 Sambong-ro, Jongno-gu Office Main Building 1st floor, ☎2148-3957~9) along with the application form, consent for personal information use, and job registration certificate. Selection will be made through a first-round document screening and a second-round interview, with results individually notified on the 25th.
The caregiver training will be held from March 2 to April 10 at the Jongno Caregiver Training Center (3rd floor, 97 Sajik-ro). The course consists of a total of 240 hours, including 80 hours of theory, 80 hours of practical training, and 80 hours of field practice for caregiver certification.
The curriculum covers an introduction to caregiving, related systems and services, field know-how, and other essential topics for certification and job duties. After the training, a special lecture before the caregiver certification exam will be held from May 18 to 22.
Mayor Kim Young-jong stated, “This training will be essential for middle-aged and older job seekers who wish to become caregivers. By cultivating specialized personnel tailored to elderly welfare, we will provide high-quality welfare services to seniors and offer a valuable opportunity to solve unemployment issues among middle-aged and older job seekers who urgently need employment. We will continue to provide administrative support to offer job skill development opportunities and employment linkage support to residents seeking reemployment, thereby increasing the employment rate.”
