Inspection of Disaster Broadcast Situation During Visit to News Channel YTN
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Han Sang-hyuk, Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, visited the news channel YTN on the 31st to inspect the disaster broadcast situation related to the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia) and encouraged the on-site reporting staff.

He added, "In particular, regarding this novel virus, unverified 'fake news' is spreading, causing confusion among the public and potentially making our economy difficult. Since the role of reliable media is crucial in eradicating fake news, please strengthen fact-checking on incorrect information."
Since the Korea Communications Commission requested disaster broadcasts related to the spread of the novel coronavirus on the 23rd, YTN has been focusing on broadcasting related news and public action guidelines.
