Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum in Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is holding the first exhibition of the 'Gyeomjae Jeongseon Hwahon Re-illumination Relay' featuring artist Jeong Jeongho's 'Living Spirit; Saenggi' until February 9.

The Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum invited artist Jeong Jeongho, who highlights Gyeomjae's Hwahon today and reinterprets it in a modern way, connecting tradition and the present.

With decades of exhibition experience and various artistic activities, Jeong Jeongho is opening a new painting style using diverse techniques based on Gyeomjae Jeongseon's Hwahon and painting theory in this exhibition.

Presenting over 40 works that connect tradition and the present, featuring images praying for humanity's peace, the exhibition can be viewed in the 1st and 2nd planned exhibition halls.

Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It is expected to be a meaningful exhibition where visitors can appreciate works that reinterpret Gyeomjae Jeongseon's challenging and progressive Hwahon from the artist's new perspective.

Kim Yong-kwon, director of the Gyeomjae Art Museum, said, “We have continuously strived to honor Gyeomjae Jeongseon's Hwahon and connect tradition with modernity. This exhibition will be a valuable opportunity to feel and empathize with Jeong Jeongho's works.”
