[Asia Economy, intern reporter Kim Seongyeol] YouTuber Moon Esther explained the origin of her YouTube channel name and revealed her plans to release an album during her appearance on 'Noon's Hope Song' (Jeongoui Huimanggok).
On the afternoon of January 30, MBC FM4U's 'Noon's Hope Song with Kim Sinyoung' featured English instructor Moon Danuel and his daughter, YouTuber Moon Esther, as guests.
During the broadcast, DJ Kim Sinyoung introduced them by saying, "We are joined by impersonation talent Moon Esther and her father, Moon Danuel."
Moon Danuel remarked, "When I got the casting call, I thought they wanted my daughter, not me. But when I heard they wanted both of us, I realized I was now tagging along with my daughter."
Kim Sinyoung said to Moon Esther, "Your YouTube channel name is 'Chuther,' and I heard your videos typically get over one million views." Moon Esther replied, "I upload impersonations and cover songs. The most popular content has been my impersonations of singers from the three major entertainment agencies and my 'Havana' impersonation in eight different languages."

Regarding her YouTube channel name 'Chuther,' Moon Esther explained, "My friends used to call me Chuther as a nickname. I thought it sounded cute, so I decided to use it as my channel name."
She added, "I started YouTube in 2017. My initial motivation was self-development, but as I continued, it turned into a way to earn some pocket money."
Moon Danuel commented, "Once her view count started to rise a bit, she thought she could make some pocket money. That was the beginning of her 'conversion.' She started out very humbly as a hobby, but earning pocket money became more important," drawing laughter.
Afterwards, Moon Esther performed live impersonations of songs by Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, the 'Frozen' soundtrack, and artists from SM, JYP, and YG.
She continued, "I didn't have much confidence in my singing, but after starting YouTube, I realized I'm better at singing than I thought. I'm also considering releasing an album."
Currently, Moon Esther operates the YouTube channel 'Chuther Chuder [Moon Esther],' which has 840,000 subscribers. She is loved by fans for her impersonation videos using unique vocal techniques such as the 'Water Drop Sweet Potato Technique' and the 'Gargle Sweet Potato Technique.'
