Gurye County Council Passes Resolution to Support the Creation of a Lifelong Learning City

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] On the 29th, the Gurye County Council in Jeollanam-do announced that at the 265th extraordinary session, Councilor Noh Seong-won, who was the main proposer, adopted the "Resolution for the Creation of a Lifelong Learning City in Gurye County" and resolved to unite efforts to establish a lifelong learning city.

The background for adopting the resolution is to develop Gurye County as a lifelong learning city to provide various lifelong learning opportunities to residents, improve the quality of life for individuals, and promote mutual development within the local community.

The county council decided to take the lead in fostering lifelong learning leaders by linking with domestic and international lifelong learning networks, as well as providing necessary budget support for stable and continuous lifelong learning promotion, and to lead the formation of lifelong learning communities.

They also stated their commitment to doing their best so that residents can achieve self-realization through participation in various programs reflecting regional characteristics, practicing learning and sharing.

Meanwhile, Gurye County has been accelerating the establishment of infrastructure for creating a lifelong learning city by enacting ordinances, establishing mid- to long-term development plans, forming councils, creating dedicated departments, and assigning lifelong educators in preparation for the lifelong learning city contest.
