[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] The UK government has decided to quarantine its citizens returning from Wuhan, China for two weeks.
On the 29th (local time), Matt Hancock, the UK Secretary of Health, stated on his Twitter that "Anyone returning from Wuhan will be safely quarantined for 14 days and will receive essential medical treatment."
He added, "Public safety is the top priority," and explained, "The UK government is working to bring British citizens back from Wuhan."
The UK government is preparing plans to evacuate its citizens from Wuhan and Hubei Province. It is currently known that about 300 British nationals are in the area.
Meanwhile, British Airways has also decided to suspend flights to China starting from today.
