British Airways explained, "We apologize for the inconvenience caused to passengers, but our top priority is the safety of our customers and crew."
British Airways operates daily routes from London Heathrow Airport to Shanghai and Beijing, China.
Separately, the British government is preparing plans to evacuate its citizens staying in Wuhan and Hubei Province. It is reported that there are about 300 British nationals in the area.
