[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 29th, the Alternative New Party criticized former lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo's departure from the Bareunmirae Party, saying, "Former lawmaker Ahn always talks about his dreams and ideals. He only lists statements that no one can deny are correct," and added, "But we cannot understand what he plans to do or how."

Jang Jeong-sook, chief spokesperson of the Alternative New Party, said in a statement that day, "The reason the public has been greatly disappointed in former lawmaker Ahn over the past several years is due to his lackluster execution, which contrasts with his flashy words; because they saw the poor reality of politician Ahn Cheol-soo, which is completely different from his successful image as a venture entrepreneur; and because although he talks about change and reform, his actions have leaned toward the Yeongnam conservatives. I hope he realizes this before it is too late."

Chief spokesperson Jang pointed out, "We fully understand the grand intention behind his decision to leave the party today," and added, "What is the next step? What is his position on founding a new party? These remain ambiguous. Therefore, we have no choice but to withhold judgment."
