According to Gokseong-gun on the 29th, the county conducted a survey event called "Gokseong of the Year 2019" targeting residents from the end of last year to early this year.
The policies implemented throughout 2019 were classified into 10 categories and introduced, and residents selected the best field among them through the county website over a period of 10 days.
The representative policy fields of Gokseong in 2019 were presented as ① Happy Children Gokseong, ② Collaborative Education Gokseong, ③ Hope and Youth Gokseong, ④ Delicious Gokseong, ⑤ Worry-free Old Age Gokseong, ⑥ Gokseong Made by Residents, ⑦ Seomjingang Economy Gokseong, ⑧ Ecology and Forest No.1 Gokseong, ⑨ Safe Gokseong, and Friendly Gokseong.
Among these, "Hope and Youth Gokseong" received 32% of the votes from event participants and was selected as the policy field that shone the most in Gokseong-gun last year.
The "Hope and Youth Gokseong" field includes major policies that Gokseong-gun attempted to attract and settle youth. Representative examples include the "Youth Growth System," established for systematic and integrated youth support, and the flagship youth startup policy "Youth Happiness Store" aimed at youth employment and revitalizing the local community.
Also included are the "Youth Challenge Market," created by utilizing idle spaces in traditional markets as youth incubating spaces, and the Gokseong Living Experience Project "Hwanjanghal Cheongchun Jakdang," which settled 13 urban youths in the region.
Gokseong-gun's education policy, represented by village education communities and creative education, was chosen by 24% of participants, ranking second.
Gokseong-gun foresees the future of the region in education where parents and children are happy, and opened the Future Education Cooperation Center, a collaborative institution with the Education Support Office, early last year.
In particular, the "Gokseong Dream Play School," which utilizes nature and ecology, is gaining external recognition with the concept of learning through play and growing through learning. This year, Gokseong-gun plans to establish the Future Education Foundation to further solidify an education ecosystem involving both public and private sectors.
A Gokseong-gun official expressed gratitude to the event participants, saying, "We will continue to communicate in various forms and create policies that residents want."
Meanwhile, this "Gokseong of the Year" event also serves to commemorate the launch of the county's mobile gift certificate. Mobile gift certificates will be given by lottery among participants. Winners can be confirmed on the Gokseong-gun website.
