Boseong-gun Operates Convenience System for Individual Local Income Tax Filing and Payment

Personal Local Income Tax, Now Report and Pay to Local Governments

Boseong-gun Operates Convenience System for Individual Local Income Tax Filing and Payment

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yongchul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 29th that from this year, individual local income tax must be reported and paid to local governments.

Individual local income tax had been reported together with national tax (income tax) at the tax office, but from this year, individual local income tax must be reported and paid separately to local governments, while income tax is reported and paid to the tax office.

Accordingly, Boseong-gun operates various taxpayer convenience systems to prevent inconvenience to taxpayers in accordance with the changed individual local income tax system.

For internet reporting, after reporting income tax on Hometax, clicking the individual local income tax report button automatically connects to WETAX, allowing easy reporting without separate input.

The tax office has placed report/receipt boxes to avoid the inconvenience of additional visits to local governments. Also, regardless of address, reporting and reception are possible at any city, county, or district office nationwide.

During the comprehensive income tax final reporting period in May, Boseong-gun plans to install a reporting center at the county office, providing a one-stop service where taxpayers can report both income tax and individual local income tax by visiting either the tax office or the county office.

A county official said, “We will do our best to promote and operate taxpayer convenience systems to minimize inconvenience and confusion for taxpayers due to the new system implementation.”
