Gwangju Nam-gu, Recruiting Participants for Youth Job 'Didimdol Project'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 29th that it will publicly recruit motivated young people who want to develop their practical skills in public sector local service fields that enhance the social value of the region, and link to employment in private companies, from the 30th of this month to the 14th of next month.

There are a total of 6 young people who will obtain new jobs through this project.

Any unemployed young person under the age of 39 who maintains resident registration within Nam-gu is eligible to apply.

However, young people currently participating in wage subsidy-type job support projects or those within one year after completing such job support projects recently are not eligible to apply.

The working conditions are 40 hours per week from March to December, with a wage support of approximately 1.87 million KRW.

Applicants can download the related documents from the Nam-gu Office website and submit them by email or to the Innovation Policy Division on the 6th floor of Nam-gu Office by the 14th of next month.

Participants will be selected through a first document screening and a second interview, with the announcement scheduled for the 25th of next month.

Nam-gu plans to prioritize placing young participants in workplaces they desire to help them nurture their dreams. It was identified that 11 local businesses submitted applications for the Didimdol project in the public recruitment conducted last month.

A Nam-gu official said, “We will actively support unemployed young people in the district to develop practical skills at local business workplaces and succeed in employment in private companies after the Didimdol project ends.”
