Kumho Tire Supplies New Tires for 'Audi Q5'

Supply of 'Cruzen Premium (KL33)' Produced at Georgia Factory

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Kumho Tire announced on the 29th that it will supply the Crugen Premium (KL33) as original equipment tires for the Audi Q5.

The Audi Q5 has maintained its position as a best-selling sport utility vehicle (SUV) model for several years since its initial launch. Its strengths include a sporty exterior design, connectivity, and spacious interior.

The Crugen Premium (KL33) supplied to the Audi Q5 is Kumho Tire's dedicated SUV product. The Crugen series was developed in response to the emergence of urban SUVs, and Kumho Tire explains that it can deliver sports performance optimized especially for high-performance SUVs. It features handling, braking power, and high-speed driving stability on the road.

Among them, the standard model ‘Crugen Premium’ is designed to provide the quietness and comfortable ride of a luxury sedan in an SUV. The silica compound material has been upgraded to improve fuel efficiency, and the application of an optimized platform ensures ride comfort and quietness. The tread pattern is designed to enhance driving stability and wear performance. Semi-nailing (adding patterns on the block surface to prevent slipping) within the blocks, 3D blocks, and four wide drainage grooves enable stable driving even on wet roads such as rainy conditions.

The Crugen Premium supplied to Audi is produced at the Georgia plant. Currently, the Audi Q5 is manufactured at the Mexico plant.
