[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province will operate the 'Disabled Care 365 Shelter' starting next month to reduce the caregiving burden on caregivers of home-based disabled individuals.

Until now, there was no temporary care facility available for severely disabled home-based individuals in Bucheon, making it difficult for caregivers to provide care when sudden accidents or illnesses occurred.

However, with the opening of the Disabled Care 365 Shelter, caregivers of severely disabled home-based individuals can rest assured and receive treatment when they are sick, as well as take short breaks, thereby reducing their caregiving burden.

The shelter operates 24 hours a day, and the usage fee is 20,000 KRW per day. Users can stay up to 10 days per admission and use the facility up to 30 days annually.

A Bucheon City official stated, "Starting with the operation of the Disabled Care 365 Shelter, we will newly promote community care for the disabled to create an environment where severely disabled home-based individuals can live in harmony with the local community."

For detailed information such as admission procedures, please contact Bucheon City Raonjena Short-Term Care Facility at 032-710-7326.
