125 Deaths from Novel Coronavirus in Hubei Province... 25 Additional Deaths Reported (Update)

[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Park Sun-mi] On the 29th, the number of deaths caused by the novel coronavirus infection, known as 'Wuhan pneumonia,' was reported to be 125 within Hubei Province alone.

The Hubei Provincial Health Commission (Weiguanwei) announced that as of midnight, there were 840 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus and 25 additional deaths. Among the 25 new deaths, 19 occurred in Wuhan City.

The cumulative number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Hubei Province is 3,554. Of these, more than half, 1,905 cases, are in Wuhan City. The total number of deaths has been recorded as 125.

Currently, 3,449 patients are hospitalized and receiving medical treatment, of whom 671 are in severe condition and 228 are critically severe patients. The cumulative number of close contacts is 22,095, among whom 20,366 are under medical observation.
