[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actor Kim Chan-woo appeared on 'Burning Youth' and confessed to singer Park Jun-hyung that he suffers from panic disorder.
On the 28th, Kim Chan-woo appeared on SBS variety show 'Burning Youth' ('Bulcheong'). He greeted the 'Bulcheong' members by saying, "I was quietly doing well."
In the broadcast, Kim Chan-woo met Park Jun-hyung, with whom he had a connection through the sitcom 'Soonpoong Clinic' in the past. Kim Chan-woo expressed his delight, saying, "Is this the first time we’ve met in over twenty years?"
Park Jun-hyung joked, "You really haven't changed at all. Maybe your belly has grown a bit."
Kim Chan-woo explained, "My panic disorder was severe, so I didn't do any broadcasting. It lasted about 20 years. It relapsed, got cured, and relapsed again. I don't know why it happened. There is a genetic factor, and I was taking medication while filming 'Soonpoong Clinic.' Now that I’m on medication, I’m okay."
He then apologized to Park Jun-hyung, saying, "I missed you so much. After god became popular, I wanted to meet you once, but when I took a break, I couldn't contact you."
Park Jun-hyung also said, "Since our first broadcast together was 'Soonpoong Clinic,' I missed you a lot. When I heard you were appearing on this show, I came out too."
Kim Chan-woo debuted in 1989 as the 19th class of MBC public recruitment talents. He was a leading youth star in the 1990s, gaining great love by appearing in sitcoms such as 'LA Arirang' and 'Soonpoong Clinic.'
