The ‘Heukdang Bubble Tea Pizza’ and ‘Heukdang Seed Pizza’ are the latest creations in the ‘HOT&NEW’ category that captivate consumers’ tastes by using trendy ingredients as toppings. They feature the unique smoky sweetness of Heukdang combined with an interesting texture.
The ‘Heukdang Bubble Tea Pizza’ is topped generously with soft mozzarella cheese and tapioca pearls simmered in Heukdang, finished with a rich Heukdang sauce that leaves a sweet aroma lingering in the mouth while eating. The ‘Heukdang Seed Pizza’ is inspired by the seed hotteok loved by Koreans, blending Heukdang sauce with walnuts, sunflower seeds, peanuts, and various nuts to create a crunchy texture and savory flavor. Both types use fresh dough made with natural fermentation for extra chewiness, and soft egg tarts are added to the edges so the crust can be enjoyed deliciously to the very end.
The ‘Choco Cheesecake Pizza,’ introduced alongside, is a follow-up to last winter’s home party sensation, the ‘California Cheesecake Pizza.’ It offers a pleasant sweetness with rich California cream cheese, slightly bitter brownie cubes, and chocolate syrup. It can be enjoyed as a mini cake on its own or placed on a pizza saver to create a two-tier cake, making it perfect for romantic occasions such as Valentine’s Day and White Day.
The two Heukdang pizzas are priced at 25,000 KRW for the regular size and 32,000 KRW for the large size. They can be enjoyed more economically when purchased as a set including Mipi Tteokbokki. The Choco Cheesecake Pizza is priced at 12,000 KRW and will be sold for a limited time until March.
A Mr. Pizza representative said, “Heukdang fits the well-being trend that prefers healthy sweetness and pairs well with various ingredients such as nuts and tapioca, making it suitable as a pizza topping. We expect it to receive a good response from consumers during periods of high dessert demand such as Valentine’s Day and White Day.”
