[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] CJ Group has formed a crisis management committee to implement preventive measures and conduct inspections regarding the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia).

According to CJ Group on the 28th, the crisis management committee includes the Safety Management Team, Human Resources Team, and Communication Team within the holding company, and they check the situation of each affiliate daily.

Currently, a 'Behavior Guide' has been proactively distributed to all domestic and global employees, and workplaces with frequent customer contact are implementing measures such as requiring workers to wear masks, providing hygiene products for customers, and hand sanitizing upon entry.

In particular, CJ Logistics is conducting fever checks using thermal cameras and laser thermometers in its delivery sub-centers, and CJ CGV and CJ Olive Young are responding swiftly by mandating mask-wearing for employees at each store.

Meanwhile, CJ Group has specially ordered 100,000 masks and 2,000 hand sanitizers for employees working at business sites in China, and plans to continuously support hygiene products going forward.

A CJ Group official explained, "We have created WeChat chat rooms for each business unit head and safety officer in China to monitor the situation in real time and have a system in place to respond immediately to major issues."
