Hanwha Aerospace Strengthens Compliance and Transparent Management... Conducts Practitioner Day Event

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hanwha Aerospace and its subsidiaries are strengthening compliance and transparent management by recognizing and awarding the contributions of ‘in-house compliance practitioners.’

Hanwha Aerospace and its subsidiaries Hanwha Precision Machinery, Hanwha Techwin, Hanwha Defense, and Hanwha Power Systems recently held a ‘Compliance Practitioner Day’ event at the Hanwha Building in Janggyo-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, the company announced on the 28th.

Hanwha Aerospace and its four subsidiaries, together with the Compliance Support Team, select ‘in-house compliance practitioners’ every year to support the practical compliance activities of their employees.

Each year, the compliance practitioners selected from each company encourage employees to continue compliance activities beyond their own duties and carry out various activities such as planned annual training, according to the company. This event was held to commend the contributions of these compliance practitioners, report on their major achievements, and present awards.

Previously, Hanwha launched the Hanwha Compliance Committee in May 2018 to monitor the implementation of compliance management across its affiliates. Hanwha Aerospace received the Fair Trade Commission Chairman’s Commendation with the highest grade in the fair trade agreement implementation evaluation category last year and was also highly rated for operating a win-win compliance practice program.

Additionally, Hanwha Aerospace and its four affiliates plan to conduct training for all domestic executives on fair trade and anti-corruption in the first and second halves of this year, organized by the in-house Compliance Support Team, to enhance employees’ compliance awareness related to management.

Shin Hyun-woo, CEO of Hanwha Aerospace, recently sent a CEO letter to employees emphasizing that all employees should perform their duties with ‘compliance.’ Shin added, “All employees of our company must understand that compliance and transparent management are the only ways to protect and sustain both the company and its employees.”

Hanwha Aerospace stated, "We will continue to strive to establish a compliance culture deeply rooted through various naturally permeating activities."
