In the broadcast, Lee Sang-woo said about the reason he started his business, "I have been in business for 23 years since my 1997 album," and added, "I wanted to create a lifelong care system so that my son with intellectual disabilities could live comfortably. For that, I wanted to earn a lot of money."
Regarding why he started acting, he explained, "I found acting fun. When you act, several people move together. I liked that. As a singer, you sing alone, but I enjoyed interacting with others, so I found acting enjoyable."
He said, "However, when I appeared in dramas, the image of me as a singer overlapped. So, to erase that image, I deliberately did not engage in singing activities. Eventually, I stopped appearing on broadcasts altogether."
He continued, "When I was active as a singer, my wish was to gain weight. I wanted to gain over 60kg, but as I got older, I naturally gained weight," sharing his recent status.
He said, "'My Love Like a Sad Painting' and 'Bichang' are my most cherished songs. Especially 'Bichang,' I can't sing it like I used to anymore. '100 Meters Before Meeting Her' also has high musical completeness," and added, "It was completed with a Gwanak quintet. No one knows, but it was originally a remake of a composition by Lee Nam-woo."
Lee Sang-woo debuted in 1988 through MBC's Riverside Song Festival. He released numerous hit songs such as '100 Meters Before Meeting Her' and 'One Night's Dream.'
