Lotte Duty Free Prepares Emergency Measures for Novel Coronavirus... CEO Lee Gap Appointed as Committee Chairman

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Lotte Duty Free announced on the 28th that it has formed an emergency response committee chaired by CEO Lee Gap on the 24th to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia) in Korea and is operating a constant response system.

Following the activation of the emergency response committee, Lotte Duty Free enforces ▲mandatory daily fever checks for all employees (employees with fever are sent home early and advised to seek medical treatment). Additionally, in stores, ▲mandatory mask-wearing for store and delivery staff ▲biweekly disinfection of stores and delivery areas ▲expanded placement of hand sanitizers within stores (at information desks and cash registers, etc.) ▲distribution of masks to customers are being implemented. Furthermore, ▲employees returning from China are granted a 14-day leave followed by observation ▲leave will be provided for pregnant women and employees with chronic illnesses.
