Selection of 35 People in 5 Project Areas Prepared to Support Low-Income Employment-Vulnerable Groups by February 5
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Jo) is recruiting participants for the '2020 Community Job Project' to support low-income and employment-vulnerable groups until February 5.
The district plans to select a total of 35 people across five fields, including the ▲Our Neighborhood Beautification Project ▲Youth Intern Support Project, prepared as productive and sustainable job projects.
The district's community job project is designed to provide jobs to vulnerable groups within the region to help stabilize their livelihoods and provide a stepping stone for employment.
Eligibility requires applicants to be residents aged 18 or older with work ability as of the project start date, with household income at or below 65% of the median income and assets under 200 million KRW.
Especially, the recruitment in the first half of this year gives preference to youth (ages 18-34), and after qualification screening for each project participant, those with high scores and long-term unemployed youth will be prioritized.
Working conditions are 6 hours per day and 30 hours per week (for those aged 65 or older, 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week), with mandatory enrollment in the four major social insurances, a daily wage of 51,540 KRW, and an additional expense allowance of 5,000 KRW.
Residents wishing to participate can apply by visiting their local community service center with identification and a copy of their health insurance card on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Details of the recruitment can be found on the district's website.
For more information, contact the local community service center or the district office's Job Department at ☎2155-8744.
A district official stated, “Last year, we provided community jobs to 68 employment-vulnerable individuals who had difficulty entering private-sector jobs,” adding, “We plan to strengthen support activities such as employment counseling and job fairs for low-income vulnerable groups within the region to help them secure stable employment even after the project ends.”
