[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Amid the 'Me Too' allegations against Won Jong-geon, who is preparing to run in the general election as the Democratic Party's second recruited talent, the Liberty Korea Party has demanded the withdrawal of his recruitment and an apology to women.

Seong Il-jong, the floor spokesperson for the Liberty Korea Party, stated in a commentary on the 27th, "Immediately withdraw the recruitment and offer a profound apology to all women."

Earlier that day, a post exposing Won's Me Too allegations was uploaded on an internet bulletin board. The author, who identified herself as Won's ex-girlfriend, claimed that Won continuously treated her as a sexual object and tormented her with misogyny and emotional abuse (gaslighting).

Spokesperson Seong said, "If all these claims are true, Won Jong-geon is a shameless person who only regards women as sexual objects," adding, "The Democratic Party and Won Jong-geon must now choose whether to continue pretending to be innocent by lying again or to admit their mistakes and apologize."

Regarding Won's interview after being recruited by the Democratic Party, where he argued that "the political sphere should check how feminist issues are connected to policies and bills and increase the reflection rate," Seong criticized, "If a shameless person as described in the allegations publicly utters such words, it is truly a chilling story."
