Ulsan Police Agency's Special Security Operations for Lunar New Year Holiday to Ensure Public Safety

Smooth Traffic Flow, No Incidents or Accidents

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] The Ulsan Police Agency is continuing special security activities for the Lunar New Year holiday.

The Ulsan Police Agency designated the period from the 20th to the 27th as the Lunar New Year 'Special Security Activity Period' and concentrated police forces, resulting in smooth traffic flow and maintaining a peaceful security status without major incidents or accidents, the agency announced on the 27th.

During this period, crime prevention inspections were conducted at financial institutions, convenience stores, and other locations, focusing on crime-prone areas by deploying local police, criminal mobile squads, and police reserve companies intensively.

Additionally, dedicated police officers monitored households at risk of domestic violence recurrence and children at risk of abuse to check their safety, and actively took measures regarding any incidents that occurred.

The police designated the period from the 18th to the 27th as the 'Lunar New Year Holiday Special Traffic Management Period,' deploying a total of 2,035 personnel (an average of 204 per day) including traffic police, local police, permanent companies, exemplary drivers, and cooperative organizations, along with traffic patrol cars and rapid response teams (cyclical motorcycles).

By analyzing vehicle congestion sections in stages in advance, traffic police were concentrated around highway entrances and exits, Sinbok Rotary, National Roads 7 and 24, and recreational areas to conduct special traffic management focused on smooth traffic flow.
