Korea Railroad to Hire 850 New Employees in First Half of Year... Applications Accepted from February 7 to 10 Number of hires by job position. Provided by Korea Railroad.


[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) will hire 850 new employees in the first half of this year.


According to KORAIL on the 24th, the recruitment fields and number of new hires for the first half of this year include 660 general open recruitment positions in five fields: office sales, driving, vehicles, etc., 140 veterans recommended separately through the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and 50 positions for competitive recruitment of persons with disabilities.


The number of hires by job category, combining general open recruitment and veterans/persons with disabilities recruitment, is divided as follows: office sales 178, driving 162, vehicles 189, civil engineering 133, architecture 44, and electrical communication 144. Among these, the general open recruitment process will be conducted separately by five regional zones nationwide.


KORAIL plans to implement a blind recruitment process focused on job competency throughout all stages including document screening, written tests, and interviews to ensure fairness.

In particular, KORAIL explained that from this year, they will strengthen job competency evaluations by including physical fitness tests, major-specific exams, and further subdivision of recruitment fields.


Applicants wishing to apply can submit their applications through the KORAIL website from 2 PM on the 7th to 2 PM on the 10th of next month.
