[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Ahn Cheol-soo, former lawmaker of the Bareunmirae Party, stated on the 24th, "Above all, in the new year, we must root the values of justice and fairness and establish healthy community values and norms."

In his Lunar New Year greeting, former lawmaker Ahn said, "Only then can the pure passion and efforts of our sons and daughters be recognized, our divided society be united as one, and a world where warm hearts are shared with the difficult and marginalized neighbors be created."

He added, "These are difficult and exhausting times. Employment, marriage, childbirth, job security, and preparing for old age?none of these are easy. But if we do not lose courage and quietly overcome these challenges, we will be able to speak of hope again."

Former lawmaker Ahn also said, "Though insufficient, I will always stand by the people and work together to change the world," and expressed gratitude, "I thank all those who do not rest even during the holidays and dedicate themselves to the country and the people, including military personnel, police officers, firefighters, hospital staff, and everyone who volunteers to help marginalized neighbors."
