[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actress Gong Hyo-jin has drawn attention by asking her fans to refrain from mentioning her past works.
Recently, Gong Hyo-jin left a comment on a fan's social network service (SNS) account saying, "Please. Could you stop summoning my old dramas? I’m asking you."
The fan, identified as A, had posted a video of the past drama KBS2 'Sangdoo, Let's Go to School' and tagged Gong Hyo-jin's SNS account. After seeing Gong Hyo-jin's comment, the fan replied, "Yes, Actress Gong. I will do so. Thank you."
Another fan, B, commented, "Unnie, you must not like it. But to me, it’s really good. Please don’t hate the 2003 version of you so much." In response, fan A wrote, "Still, I will do as Actress Gong wishes."
Some fans expressed envy that Gong Hyo-jin personally left a comment, but fan A confessed, "Honestly, I’m very sad."
As this fact became known, netizens criticized Gong Hyo-jin’s attitude as rude, saying, "She’s still her fan, isn’t this too much?"
Some speculate that Gong Hyo-jin might have taken direct action because she had been uncomfortable with mentions of her past dramas for some time.
