Gangseo-gu Holds Monthly 'Museum Concert' on Culture Day... Diverse Music Performances at Heo Jun Museum and Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is hosting a "Museum Concert" that families can enjoy together at Gangseo-gu's representative cultural facilities, Heojun Museum and Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum, on the last Saturday of every month in celebration of "Culture Day."

On the 23rd, the district announced that it has prepared music performances in various genres so that all residents can enjoy high-quality cultural experiences.

First, at Heojun Museum on the 29th at 2 p.m., famous vocalists baritone Oh Yu-seok and soprano Ahn Hye-su will be invited to perform solo and duet pieces, hosted by current affairs and culture critic Son Jin-gi.

Baritone Oh Yu-seok, a graduate of the prestigious Santa Cecilia National Academy of Music in Italy, and soprano Ahn Hye-su, winner of first place at the Capucilli Competition, are expected to captivate the audience with exquisite songs such as "The Song of the Toreador," "Queen of the Night Aria," and the duet "Drinking Song."

The performance is free and open to anyone who visits on-site without prior reservation.

Starting in February, Heojun Museum and Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum will hold diverse music concerts including traditional Korean music, orchestra, and acoustic guitar every other month. On the last Wednesday of months without performances, the museums will extend their hours until 8 p.m. and operate guided programs titled "Museum and Art Museum with Stories."

A district official said, "In line with the purpose of Culture Day, we have prepared museum concerts so that residents can more easily access culture," adding, "We hope families, friends, and couples have a happy time together."
