[Photo] 2020 Dongdaemun-gu Office Chief's Yutnori Festival Held

Competition to Select Dongdaemun-gu Representatives for the 2020 Seoul City Yutnori Festival Held on the 30th at Dongdaemun-gu Office Multipurpose Auditorium

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) will hold the 2020 Dongdaemun-gu Mayor's Yutnori Festival on the 30th from 2 PM to 6 PM at the multipurpose auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Dongdaemun-gu Office.

Participating organizations include 14 teams from each neighborhood, the Dongdaemun-gu Sports Council, Dongdaemun Cultural Center, and other groups. Each team consists of 4 throwers, 1 piece placer, and 1 supervisor. A total of about 200 players and cheering teams will join on the day.

The preliminary round will be conducted in a league format, and the quarterfinals and beyond will be held in a tournament format. The rules follow the Seoul City Yutnori competition regulations, and awards will be given for the champion, runner-up, joint third place, and encouragement prize.

The champion and runner-up teams of this competition will represent Dongdaemun-gu and participate in the 2020 Seoul City Yutnori Festival held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) on February 8.

You Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “Through this Dongdaemun-gu Mayor's Yutnori Festival, I hope residents enjoy our traditional folk game Yutnori together and spend a time of harmony. I also hope the team selected to represent Dongdaemun-gu achieves good results at the Seoul City Yutnori Festival.”
