[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Changwon National University (President Lee Ho-young) Maker Agit held a completion ceremony for the 'Maker Instructor Training Course' on the 22nd at the Maker Agit inside the Changwon National University Library.
Sponsored by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, and hosted by Changwon National University Maker Agit Fab Lab Changwon Center (Director Park Kyung-hoon), the 'Maker Instructor Training Course' is an educational program aimed at cultivating Gyeongnam-type maker experts for not only Changwon National University students but also professionals from various fields and local residents. This year marks its 6th session.
This training was conducted once each for after-school instructors in the Gyeongnam area and elementary, middle, and high school teachers to help establish maker education in frontline schools. Accordingly, 14 instructors and 15 teachers completed the Maker Instructor Training Course.
In particular, the training included a total of 30 hours of courses such as ▲modeling program ▲slicing program practice for using 3D printers, and ▲drawing program practice ▲laser cutter operation for using laser cutters.
Park Kyung-hoon, Director of the Changwon National University Maker Agit Fab Lab Center, said, "We will devote our efforts so that the Maker Agit Instructor Training Course can be the starting point for forming a network of makers in Gyeongnam, which is a barren land for makers," adding, "We will regularly open various training courses for many applicants on the waiting list and potential maker experts."
