Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters to Distribute 'Disaster Response Manual for Disabled Persons' Starting from the 23rd


[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters is producing and distributing a 'Standard Manual for Disaster Response for the Disabled.'


On the 21st, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters held a meeting with the Gyeonggi-do Association of the Visually Impaired and the Gyeonggi-do Association of the Physically Disabled, and announced that starting from the 23rd, they will distribute the Standard Manual for Disaster Response for the Disabled, created as a campaign pledge of the 7th local government, to disability organizations in cities and counties.


The 'Standard Manual for Disaster Response for the Visually and Physically Disabled and Their Assistants' being distributed this time has been produced in two versions: one for the visually impaired and one for the physically disabled.


The version for the visually impaired covers nine types of disasters including earthquakes, fires, and gas leaks, while the version for the physically disabled covers eight types of disasters including earthquakes, fires, and gas leaks.


The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters will post this manual on their website (http://119.gg.go.kr).
