Dongshin University and Gwangju City Mental Hospital Join Hands for Clinical Psychology Practicum Training

According to Dongshin University on the 21st, under the agreement between the two institutions, undergraduate and graduate students of the Department of Counseling Psychology will receive clinical psychology practicum education at Gwangju City Mental Hospital, enhancing their understanding of mental pathology and gaining hands-on experience in psychological testing and clinical interviews.

The Department of Counseling Psychology has signed agreements with the university and local community-related institutions such as child and adolescent counseling centers and mental health welfare centers, operating various practicum programs.

Professor Park Heehyun, head of the Department of Counseling Psychology, said, “This provides a great opportunity for students to develop clinical practical skills in a hospital setting,” adding, “We will actively support the continuation of high-quality practicum education.”
