NH Nonghyup Life, Presents Food Gifts to Visually Impaired Ahead of Lunar New Year NH Nonghyup Life Insurance announced on the 21st that it delivered gifts to the Seoul Welfare Center for the Visually Impaired, located in Songpa-gu, Seoul, in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.


[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] NH NongHyup Life Insurance announced on the 21st that it delivered gifts to the Seoul Blind Welfare Center located in Songpa-gu, Seoul, in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.


Fifteen executives and employees of NongHyup Life Insurance, including CEO Hong Jae-eun, participated in delivering gift packages containing holiday foods such as glutinous rice, rice cake soup rice cakes, ox bone soup, apples, and pears to 200 visually impaired individuals. These food items were purchased from Dojeon Village in Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province, which has a partnership under the 'Another Village' program.


Employees of NongHyup Life Insurance also carried out volunteer work inputting braille books for the visually impaired. This braille book input volunteer activity started in May 2014 and has been conducted once a month, with a total of about 420 participants, making it a long-standing volunteer program.


CEO Hong Jae-eun said, "It was a truly meaningful occasion to practice sharing through good rural food," and added, "We will do our best to continue these activities so that we can connect with marginalized neighbors."
