[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] More than 23,000 people visited the Nodle Island outdoor skating rink within a month of its opening.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 21st that a total of 23,428 visitors had come since its opening on December 21 last year until January 20 this year.
The Nodle Island outdoor skating rink recreates the old memories of skating on the Han River during the 1950s and 1960s, providing a unique enjoyment for citizens visiting Han River Nodle Island in winter.
Before the skating rink opened, the average number of visitors to Nodle Island was 1,000 on weekdays and 2,100 on holidays, but after the opening, it increased more than twice to 2,080 on weekdays and 4,745 on holidays.
During the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, special events such as Jegichagi will be held to offer more entertainment.
Skating lessons will also be held daily until the 9th of next month from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM for 30 people per session. The fee is 50,000 won per session.
